This blog has been set up to campaign for staff at MMU to be paid the living wage. I will publish material and other things related to the campaign here.
Our university is a very rich university. It has spent millions upon millions building new buildings, upgrading the library, and creating the new student union. However, some staff at MMU are still not being paid the living wage, which is in my view an utter disgrace for a university that can spend over £150 million on new buildings but refuses to pay its staff more than a breadline wage. I think it is time that we campaigned for a living wage at MMU, for the hardworking people who work constantly to make our university environment a safe, secure and friendly place for MMU students.
